YAKIMA Q STRETCH KIT ROUNDBAR CAR ROOF RACK Q Tower
YAKIMA Q STRETCH KIT ROUNDBAR CAR ROOF RACK. These stretch bars are for the older style Yakima roof racks (Q Tower). The stretch kit is necessary for racks installed on older Hondas and vehicles with a shorter roof base. Basically, the smaller roofed cars needed a support brace between the front crossbar to the back cross bar. It provides stability to the rack because of the distance.
This is called the stretch kit. These bars were on my old Honda for awhile and then were stored in storage ever since. They have some scratches here and there but they are fully functional and overall in great shape. The locks that are in them I don't have the key for but you can go to Yakima and either get new locks or try to get a key for these locks. This is a standard procedure.
Also, you will need to obtain the Q clips needed to fit your vehicle. My old Q clips are still on the set. I think these Q Clips came off of my'89 CRX. I figured I'd keep them with the stretch kit in case someone can use them!
